September 24th - Munginella

Andy:  What's Munginella? It is a very fitting name for a fairly grungy climb.  Actually, the climbing was ok, but we had to wait in line for nearly 90 minutes to start.  That didn't put me in the finest of moods.  And the yahoos above us were dropping baseball size rocks on our head. Nothing like granite chunks wizzing by your face. Good thing for brain buckets (helmets). So this was another introduction to Yosemite.  Crowds, and lots of them.  We went to climb another route in the evening and there were five people in line.  Ug.

Tomorrow, we rally. Up at 5:30am to beat rush hour.  And we're on vacation?

Trying to navigate the valley bike paths

Pointing to the top of Lost Arrow Spire, a detached pinnacle next to Yosemite Falls. Ted is meeting us this weekend to climb that thing.  It's a long way up....

Wendy, on top of Munginella.   See all the munge!

Some guys practicing their aid climbing with a portaledge (hanging tent).
