October 29:  Wall Street, Moab

Andy and Wendy:  Today's plan was to climb at Indian Creek, hand crack mecca of the world.  There is a climb there called "The Incredible Hand Crack" (exactly a 2.5" crack for 100 feet!), and we were dying for hardman Jon to lead our booties up it.  Unfortunately, as we drove south from Moab, we headed into darker and darker clouds until it was finally a full-on storm.  One big U-turn back to Moab, where at least it was dry!

We spent the afternoon climbing short routes at a place called Wall Street (right along the Colorado river).  The climbing was great, but it is right off the road (you are literally climbing 2 feet from the road).  There is a potash mine up the road, so the never ending stream of semi's racing by at 60 mph was pretty scary.  Climbed a variety of cracks and face climbs, gave tours to all the climbers who were envious of our van (as one said, the "ultimate climbing mobile"), and waited for the black clouds over our heads to let down their rain (which thankfully didn't happen).

Now this is bad advertising!

Amazing fall colors
