Andy: Our last day at Indian Creek, sniff, sniff. Battled with a few cracks on the Blue Gramma wall, and then headed back up to the Supercrack Buttress and jumped on a few top ropes. We got a chance to try out Coyne Crack (5.11/5.12, depending on hand size) on top rope. It's basically the thin hands version of Supercrack. Wendy, with her smaller hands, had a much easier time than me! For me it was one hang on the rope after the next...... The girl who lead the climb had the tiniest of hands - she could stick her whole hand in the crack that I could get just my knuckles into! I think this climb exists to make guys feel bad....
Andy: A huge winter storm is descending upon Utah, guaranteeing snow and rain over the entire weekend. Since we need to be back home in San Francisco by Tuesday, we decided it was time to start heading West.
But first a stop at the Utah Public Health facility in Moab for vaccinations (Hep A, Tetanus, Typhoid, and Flu) in preparation for Ecuador. Four shots each. Owie. I hate shots. And now our arms are sore. Not good for climbing. I really hate shots.
Seven WINDY hours later, we arrive in Las Vegas to 45 mph winds and even sorer arms. We'll see about climbing tomorrow......
