Andy: Today was Wendy and Steve's last day in Hokitika. They're heading south for a week to Queenstown to do some tramping (kiwi for hiking), and I'm going to stay in Hokitika for a few more days of kayaking. We ran the Lower Hokitika (grade 4) today, at relatively high water, making for a fantastic finish to Wendy's Hokitika visit. The water was pushy and continuous, and Wendy did a fantastic job hitting the lines, keeping her cool, and executing some great combat rolls under pressure. Bravo Wendy!!!
